I indeed feel blessed and
privileged to have walked this path. Born in India to parents, whose love, dedication,
perseverance and generosity
instilled in me the values to choose this journey, to devote my life to serving my nation and
the humanity. My
early school days in a residential school, which was located on a hilltop surrounded by lush
forests, sprouted
in me that love for Mother Nature, for solitude, for sometimes unplugging and heading out into
the outdoors to
soak in the sights and sounds all around. And my subsequent years in the diplomatic service gave
me the
opportunity to experience different corners of our world, to make friends and to appreciate the
common
strands of human values that bind us together. I am humbled.
